The QUEST QM10DC ultra compact passive speaker system is a coaxial 10″ 2-way satellite speaker designed for mobile sound or permanent installation. Originally conceived as a low profile fold-back monitor, its qualities soon found it a home as a permanent installation speaker.

The low visual profile and rigging options make it very suitable as a short throw front of house speaker on its own or as part of a multi way system with sub bass enhancement. A heavy gauge steel grill, ply casing and flexible installation hardware completes this highly practical and compact loudspeaker.

A Look Inside

A big voice from a small box. A coaxially configured compression driver horn combination delivers 100 degree wide range coverage, and is well suited to live vocals. The 10” driver combination is a solid construction with a die cast frame and large magnet assembly. Power handling of the QM10DC is an impressive 250 watts RMS with plenty of reserve when band-passed at the correct crossover frequency.

A steel speaker cable input cavity fitted with 2 x Speakon NL4 connectors also acts as a cable strain relief for added reliability. The fully recessed speaker connections are a very tidy feature for permanent installations.

Standalone or Building Block

The QM10DC can function as a primary sound source or as a delay or out-fill component of a larger system. The robust build quality and powerful components mean these small boxes can deliver reasonably high sound pressure level over short to medium distances. This makes the QM10DC ideal for a wide range of possible uses. A four box installation with 15” sub bass enhancement (powered by the QM1000P flexi amp), can make a bar system that sounds like a nightclub. Alternatively, when coupled with the QM1000a as a sub/satellite system, a great mobile PA.

For larger or more complex environments, a distributed system of QM10DC speakers can cover a wide area with uniform sound.

Wooden Body, Steel Faced

The QM10DC chassis is made of the same heavy duty birch ply wood as our high performance and industry trusted HPI systems. Finished with an extremely resilient black coating and fitted with a wrap-around heavy gauge protective steel grille, the QM10DC has been crafted to endure even the most demanding environments and is built to last.
