The ALX KIT from Libec is a tripod system comprising the 75mm bowl Libec ALX T tripod and the ALX H fluid head that supports loads up to 9 lb. The 3-section aluminum tripod has an operating height of 29.3 to 64.8" and features a telescopic mid-level spreader for added leg rigidity. The ALX H head provides smooth pan and tilt movements, using its fixed drag and counterbalance, and includes a sliding quick release plate for camera attachment. The plate comes with a 1/4"-20 screw, and a 3/8"-16 screw is also provided that stores in a thread under the plate. Because the 75mm ball base of the head has a flat bottom, the head can also be used with flat base tripods or even mounted to a camera slider platform. The entire ALX KIT tripod system stores inside of an included padded carrying case.

ALX H Dual-Base Fluid Head
Compatible with both flat and ball-base hardware, the Libec ALX H Fluid Head is a versatile tripod head for video production. The ALX H base features a standard 75mm ball-base with a flattened area containing a standard 3/8"-16 threaded hole for mounting to standard flat-mount hardware found on compact sliders and other grip equipment. The pan and tilt fluid-drag mechanisms are fixed-strength, as is the counterbalance. The head's construction allows for a wide +90° (down)/-80° (up) tilt range. Each axis can be locked down for extra stability during stationary shots. Both sides of the tripod head feature rosettes for attaching the included pan handle on the desired side. The camera connects to the included sliding snap-in plate, which by default holds a 1/4"-20 screw and a guiding pin. A 3/8"-16 screw is included and can be stowed underneath the camera plate when not in use.

The ALX T can support up to 55 lb and offers a 75mm bowl fitting for holding a wide variety of heads. The standard two-stage legs have a height range of 23.5 to 59", while a telescopic mid-level spreader is available for added stability and fast setup. The tripod also has rubber feet with integrated metal spikes for working on both smooth surfaces and rough outdoor environments. Additionally, it weighs 5.5 lb.
